OUR EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
At Klamath River Early College of the Redwoods, we use a "Whole Child Philosophy" meaning that we invest love and energy in all aspects of each student's development.  We engage and suport each childs's physical, emotional and mental health because we believe students learn best when they feel safe, respected and understood.

OUR ACADEMIC MODEL
Klamath River Early College of the Redwoods uses a performance-based model.  Students are assessed and placed in appropriate levels based on their skills and ability in each subject rather than age-based grade levels.  Students move at their own pace and earn credit by demonstrating proficient or advanced knowledge in CA State and local standards.

LOCAL STANDARDS
In addition to CA State standards Klamath River Early College of the Redwoods has developed Local Standards in the areas of Cultural Awareness, Service Learning, Technology, Personal/Social Health, Career Development and Technology.

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
Klamath River Early College of the Redwoods utilizes "settle up" a restorative justice process where students and adults are responsible for fixing problems they cause for others by taking responsibility and compensating those who have been harmed.
